If you haven’t been to one of these suppers before, perhaps you have recently joined the Party, the format is they are held in a private room of a local hotel or pub and we have a main course informal supper followed by tea or coffee. Typically, the speaker gives a relatively short talk on the political matters of the day and then takes questions from the floor from our members, which often provokes lively debate! Many members will meet in the bar from 7pm and we aim to sit down to eat promptly at 7.30pm. Once the tea and coffee are served then the speaker has the floor and we usually finish around 9pm.
