PEOPLE in Amesbury are being invited to have their say on how key issues in the town should be tackled over the next few years.
Amesbury Area Board is holding a community planning event on January 19 at Antrobus House.
The meeting starts at 6pm for 6.30pm and refreshments will be available. The aim is to give people from Amesbury and the surrounding area the chance to give their views on how their community could best be improved. There will be discussions on topics including transport, young people, environment, education, community development, arts and culture and the economy. This will help form part of the next community plan which will guide the work of the area board over the next few years.
Conservative Cllr John Smale, chairman of the area board, said:
This is an exciting opportunity for local people to have a real say in how their community develops over the next few years. The ideas and thoughts of local people are crucial to helping us to focus in the most effective and innovative ways on what is important to the local community.
