The local economy will be the focus of Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Area Board’s meeting on Wednesday (January 25).
The economic impact of RAF Lyneham on the local community and how the council and the MOD are working together to plan for the future of both the military and civilian communities will be discussed at the meeting which will take place at Lyneham Primary School from 6pm.
The meeting will cover the following issues:
- Defence Technical Training Centre at Lyneham
- Integration of the Lyneham Defence Technical Training Centre with the local communityWiltshire Council’s support for the local community.

This will be an important meeting which will update people about RAF Lyneham and its future. Lyneham and its surrounding communities are a clear example of how the council and MOD can support both the civilian and military communities in working together for the benefit of everyone. All are welcome to this meeting which is a good opportunity to find out more about local issues which affect them.

Routine business including grant applications and important chairman’s announcements will be conducted from 6pm to 6.30pm. The meeting will then break for light refreshments and a chance to talk to officers and councillors.
