Conservative Wiltshire Council honoured its pledge to open a brand new customer access point in Devizes town centre before it closed the old Kennet District Council offices in Browfort. The new customer access point is now open at Snuff Street in Devizes from 8.30am-5.30pm on weekdays to provide a range of helpful services in a central location.
Customers are able to book appointments for any Wiltshire Council service, and the team based there can answer enquiries about housing benefits, housing accommodation and council tax with specialist advice available for public protection and planning. In addition, people will be able to register births, deaths and marriages by appointment.
Conservative Councillor Laura Mayes, Chairman of the Devizes Area Board said "I am really pleased that we have been able to deliver the new customer access centre in Devizes town centre. This is a great example of our commitment to make access to Council services easier for the people of Devizes"
