Council gives backing to freeze council tax

The ways in which Wiltshire Council will rise to the challenge of saving £30 million over the next year were discussed and agreed at a meeting of the full council today (24 Feb).

The council gave its backing to the cabinet’s budget, which includes more than 100 areas where savings can be made in order to meet the financial demands. Members also agreed that for the fifth year it will freeze Council Tax.
