New waste and recycling collection road shows

From Monday 4 July every household in Wiltshire will be receiving an introductory leaflet detailing the new waste and recycling collection service, and how the changes affect them. To compliment these leaflets we will be holding road shows across the county.

Council tax relief for service personnel

The Minister for Defence Personnel, Welfare and Veterans Andrew Robathan MP has today confirmed that the MoD will be doubling the Council Tax Relief for service personnel on eligible operations overseas from 25% to 50%, commencing on the 1st of July.

Wiltshire Council in Good Shape Financially

Wiltshire Council is in very good shape financially. The main aims are to protect the vulnerable, invest in services and keep the Council Tax low. Key decisions include: Council tax to be frozen for 2 years, £52m investment to help vunerable adults, £4.7m investment for vulnerable children, £15m investment in superfast broadband, increase spend on highways to £12.2m, collecting plastic and cardboard from doorsteps, and improving Devizes leisure centre.
