McDonalds in Wiltshire is now serving up more emails than Big Macs as people take advantage of its free WiFi.
Latest figures for the free WiFi service in McDonald’s restaurants across the county show 1,747 customers a month are logging on, downloading a monthly total of more than 19,000 megabytes - or the equivalent of 254,786 emails.
David Williamson, McDonald’s franchisee in Melksham, Chippenham and Trowbridge, said:
Demand for WiFi in my restaurants is growing at an incredible pace, to the extent that it is now one of our most popular side orders. In such a challenging economic climate, providing an outstanding customer experience is vital. I’m delighted so many people are finding this free service so beneficial.
