Wiltshire has now launched its Armed Forces Community Covenant. At the last meeting of the Wiltshire Assembly Conservative-run Wiltshire Council recognised the good work which has been carried out through our Military Civilian Integration Programme. Wiltshire’s Community Covenant provides us with a further opportunity to confirm our support of our Armed Forces community. The Covenant is a voluntary statement of mutual support between a civilian community and its local Armed Forces Community. The aim of the Covenant is to encourage local communities to support the Service community in their area and nurture understanding and awareness amongst the public of issues affecting the Armed Forces.
